How to make watering can for your garden

How to make a watering can for your garden

Unfortunately, I'm not old enough to wander around the garden with a heavy watering can. I don't allow my husband to do that either. And I don't recommend it for young people: it may be okay now, but as we get older, this careless attitude toward ourselves and our health may reflect it. how to make a watering can be shown next.

Running a small watering can into a bucket a few times - not a variation on that either.

Watering flower beds with a hose is not always feasible, as the spray can break the soil, thus exposing the roots of the plants and even damaging them. Therefore watering with a hose is not recommended.

So you need to find something in between these two options.

In the past, my husband used to screw on the hose of the old showerhead, thus watering the plants. And this year we couldn't find it and went to the city to buy it - it was long and expensive, and our plans didn't include it.

So it was decided to try to improvise a similar watering can. And we did. I'll show you how.

My way

All we need - a hose, a plastic bottle, and some fasteners.

1. We take a bottle, the volume of which is enough for 10-15 CM wide, and make a few holes in it.

2. We put the bottle on the hose and fix it. Ideally, the neck of the bottle and the diameter of the hose should be roughly the same.

3. we wrap the gap between the neck and the hose with waterproof household tape.

That's it, our watering can is ready. Depending on the number of holes and the water pressure, you can change the degree and intensity of the spray. Thus, it is also possible to arrange a permanent watering of the lawn: simply place the hose on the ground and make holes so that the water column has different angles in different directions.

If you suddenly lose the set of sprinklers, you can also make the same nozzles and use them for regular sprinklers.

Conclusion

Agree, very simple, quick and nothing special we do not need. And using such a "device" for watering is much more convenient than a regular watering can and better than a simple hose.

Will a rusty watering can hurt plants

Will a rusty watering can hurt plants Will a rusty watering can hurt plants? Irrigating with rusty water or adding rusty iron to a planting pot or garden bed probably won't harm your plants. But it won't work, at least not immediately. In healthy soil, the ongoing process of iron chelation or the conversion of iron into a usable form makes it available to plants when they need it. Rust is iron oxide, which also does not damage plants in moderation because it is not water-soluble unless the pH of the soil is very low. In fact, iron oxide is what gives most red subsoils their color. Watering with this water will not harm the plants at all. One might also ask, are rusty nails good for plants? Rusty nails can help rejuvenate plants by pouring water over wilted plants and watching their leaves come back to life. Rust releases iron, which is vital for nourishing dying plants. That's it. What does rust do to plants? Common rust (Phragmidium spp.) is a fungal disease that attacks...
